Excel VBA add label to a Connector

Afternoon, I’ve written some code that adds shapes and connectors (msoConnectorStraight) between them. The code works fine. I can manipulate the width, color, etc of the connector but I’d like to be able to add a label. For instance, If I have 2 shapes with 3 lines between them I’d rather have 1 line labeled with a “3”. I’ve looked through the properties and don’t see anything obvious. Thanks
